Installation and Uninstallation Instructions for RFProp Version 1.03
--------------------------------------------------------------------

The RFProp files will be supplied either as a Zip file which needs to be
unzipped using a suitable program, such as WinZip, PKUNZIP, Zip, PCUnzip,
Unzip, XTree Pro Gold, etc., or as the already unzipped set of files.

For version 1.01 the Zip file name is RFProp.zip
For version 1.02 the Zip file name is RFP102.zip
For version 1.03 the Zip file name is RFP103.zip

You can either:

(1) Create a directory (e.g. C:\RFPROP) and copy all the files except
INSTALL.EXE and INSTALL.INI to it. If you download the Zip
file you can download or move it to C:\RFPROP and unzip the files in that
directory, then delete (or move to backup media) the Zip file, and
also delete INSTALL.EXE and INSTALL.INI.

After unzipping the files, RFProp is then ready to run, and you can create an
icon or shortcut as described below.

(2) Run the INSTALL.EXE program supplied with the files, which will
create a directory and copy the RFProp files automatically. This is most
convenient when installing RFProp from another disk (e.g. floppy).

If you do this from the same disk as the one where you wish the RFProp
files installed, the Zip file should initally be unzipped or placed
into a different directory, for example C:\RFPropI (these files should
be deleted after installation).

RFProp is then ready to run, and you can create an icon or shortcut
as described below under Setup.

A list of the files packed in the Zip file is given towards the end
of this file, together with instructions for uninstalling.

Windows 95 Setup
----------------

Use Explorer and create a shortcut to your RFProp.exe program:

Select the file, by using Explorer.

Press the Right mouse button and drag the file to the Desktop, or to a Folder
on the Desktop. At the prompt, select "Create a Shortcut"

You can also start Explorer, locate the file, and double click on it to run.

Select Help on the main menu, when the RFProp program has started, for further
information.

If you use Program Manager '95 (progman.exe) you can add an icon using File
Manager '95 (winfile.exe) as described for Windows 3.x.

Windows 3.1x Setup
------------------

The simplest way to install an icon for the program is to find it in directory
\RFProp using File Manager, click and drag the file from File Manager, to add
RFProp.exe to the Windows program group of your choice.

Alternatively use the Program Manager menu (File/New/Program Item) to add the
.exe file to the currently selected program group, however you will need to
fill in the description (RFProp), command line (C:\RFPROP\RFPROP.EXE) and
working directory (C:\RFPROP).

If you don't want an icon installed, you can run the RFProp.exe program by
finding it in directory \RFProp using File Manager, then double clicking on
it, or use the Program Manager menu (File/Run).

Dual Boot Systems
-----------------

If you run two Windows operating systems, you need only install RFProp in a
single directory using one of the systems. You can add an icon or shortcut
in the other operating system by browsing for the installed RFProp.exe
program that is already installed. Program settings will, however, be
stored separately for each operating system. You can copy the RFProp.ini
settings file from one Windows directory to the other to transfer the
settings, if required.

Files
-----

Files should be installed as follows (directory names given are defaults).
Normally this is done automatically using the install.exe program supplied
with the RFProp files.

RFProp
------

From install disk To hard disk
or directory under \RFProp

RFProp.exe RFProp.exe
licence.txt licence.txt
FILE_ID.DIZ FILE_ID.DIZ
RFProp.hlp RFProp.hlp
install.txt install.txt

Uninstalling RFProp
-------------------

To uninstall, delete all the files in the directory \RFProp (or another
directory name if you changed its name), and delete the directory itself.
Delete the file RFProp.ini which will be found in the Windows directory
(normally \Windows; but may be \Win311 and \Win95 or similar on a dual
boot system).
